I have driven the same car for 20 years from brand new - a MK2 Fiat Punto Sporting with 6 speed gear box. So I know my car really well and can tell what a huge difference changing the tyres makes. Until 2 years ago I had Michelin Pilot Exalto PE2 Tyres and they were great in summer and in rain. However in Winter the tyres would go very hard in cold weather and you could feel on short journeys where the tyres didn't have a chance to warm up that they didn't have much grip. This was more of a problem late at night when temperatures dropped a lot. Then one night I came home along the M1 with 3 other people in the car and it started to snow expectantly. It wasn't a problem whilst on the M1 but after getting off at Junction 5 near Watford we started to get on to the A and B roads and that's where problems began. There was only a light dusting of snow on the ground but all the cars were struggling to get up a small gradient in the road since we all probably had summer tyres on our cars. However I was struggling more than most as my tyres were sport tyres. Once we got over the top of the hill it was fine but I thought now was the time to switch to Michelin CrossClimate tyres which I'd wanted to for years, even though my current tyres had 4mm of tread left on them. So the following week I changed all 4 tyres for the CrossClimate . At first I could feel the difference but not in a good way. The ride of my car felt totally different. The car felt more bouncy when I was used to a very hard and sporty ride. But once the tyres wore in a bit then that bouncy feeling went away. I've now had those tyres on the car for the last 2 years - in all that time it hasn't snowed once so I cannot say how they perform in the snow. However I did drive through large amounts of standing water and I noticed a huge improvement. The car sliced through the water so much more easily then my previous tyres. I also noticed the tyres grip better in cold weather. Given the kind of weather we have in the UK I think the law should be rewritten to specify all new cars sold come with a tyre that is similar to the CrossClimate A tyre that will perform well under 7C. Anyone that lives in places with weather like the UK and who values safety should fit this tyre to their car. Once you wear them in you get a great ride and a consistent level of grip in any weather I've driven in so far.

Yes they were more expensive but they’ve already lasted longer and for an all season tyre, have transformed the drive of my Passat sport wagon allowing the car to rotate beautifully around corners in all weathers. Who’d have thought chassis rotation and a diesel wagon would be in the same sentence, lol

No longer have a commute so I sold my awd wagon and bought a Japanese subcompact. I immediately looked for new tires. Unfortunately CC2 is unavailable in the size I need for this car, but I found a set of CC ’s with a very recent date code for less than $400 shipped. I put them on last November and I’ve been satisfied with them. For the price I can’t complain at all. This region sees frigid cold in winter and these tires are actually usable. I’m certainly not driving out of town during a blizzard, but that’s my fault for my choice of car rather that of the tires. These excel, as advertised, in mild winter weather with excellent performance on fresh snow and slush. I only have about 7k miles on them so it should go without saying, but there’s zero wear. I’ve previously had Nokian WRG4’s and we just put some on my dad’s car, but only because they were on sale vs the CC2 cost. Having said that, we put the CC2’s on my parents’ SUV. I think I’m sold on the CC line.

I live in the UK and snow is not common, but cold and wet weather is. These have performed brilliantly in summer and winter in all conditions and I won't fit anything else now.

Nice all year round tire good grip in the cornering and great in slushy snow and ice combined to my older (cheaper) winter condition tyre which had no grip in any conditions

34000 on the front of my Golf GTD , Previous OEM tyres managed 13000, Have now got a set on my Panda too. Only slight down side is when cornering fast in the dry on a smooth surface they do tend to squeal a bit . but perhaps i am going too fast .

I put a set of these on a few years ago and I liked them so much when it came to replacing the 2 front tyres I had no hesitation in putting 2 more of them on. Excellent grip in dry and wet, only had a few experiences in snow and slush but they were mightily impressive with little or no slipping. They are pretty quiet and wear well. I find it difficult to think of any criticism whatsoever

Motorhome tyres needed replacement due to age related not wear. Did a lot of research, forums and asking. Michelin Agilis camper we’re good but the Agilis Cross Climate had better fuel efficiency, wet grip and legal for Europe in winter. Snowflake symbol. Drove 300 miles soon after fitting and tyres were quieter with less internal noise. Fuel economy was also up approximately 10% compared to old Continental Vanco. Not yet tested in snow or mud but impressed so far with tyre.
