I recently bought an M8 Competition Gran Coupe that comes with this tyre. I am very happy with their performance.

Pretty poor performance in the wet on a winters day in the UK, however in summer they are fantastic.

Just replaced the BMW* OEM Pilot SuperSports with a brand new set. I have just purchased a 2017 M240i with 13k miles on the clock, amazingly the original tyres still had between 5mm and 6mm on each tyre. The date on the tyres were 24th week of 2017 which is why I changed the tyres with so much tread still left! One tyre had started to have small cracking on the outside edge too from I presume being parked up with loss of pressure and sun damage. The first set of 5 year old rubber gripped the road like nothing I'd experienced before, I have an open diff not the LSD. The car would, I would best describe as start squirming up to speed switching the power between each wheel but without loss of traction or the dash traction control light flashing up. Even in the wet it would put the power down without loss of traction and at a rapid pace, stupid inputs would obviously lose traction. I'm still wearing the new set in, however I do feel the difference when cornering. The old set had a rounding off on the outside which are traits of Michelin Performance tyres due to the softer compound on the outside edge so felt a massive change in the cars eagerness to turn and give me confidence to carry more speed if I wanted to. The only other tyre to give me that trust in the ability of the tyre was a set of Toyo Proxies on my Honda CRX SiR back in 2002. The front tyres however only lasted me 3 months being such a soft compound and even though the tyre tread pattern looked like it could clear water quickly and away from the road, they were awful in the wet. Potentially the Pilot Sport 4 tyres maybe a better choice of tyre as the PS4s aren't available on the M240i 18" standard alloys, the PS4 tyre is better in the wet and can't remember but maybe less resistance too so savings on fuel. They however don't have the Twaron composite material to keep from bulging in the centre keeping the tyre flat and improving contact at high speed. I'm going to do some track days so this is why I chose the SuperSports over the PS4 tyres.
